I am primarily a wedding DJ in Grand Junction, Colorado and
I use the Numark Mixdeck Quad as my controller. This is by far the best
controller that I have ever used. The Numark Mixdeck Quad offers the
flexibility required for mobile DJs. The controller is a four channel
controller with multiple inputs. It comes with Serato DJ Intro. The software
does not have all of the features of Serato DJ, but it will do the job. The
controller is compatible with Serato DJ, Tracktor Pro, Virtual DJ Pro, and djay
from Algoriddim for the iPad. It has midi support for the software. It also
comes with CD players, USB drives on both decks, inputs for external devices
such as turntables, and it also comes with a cable to load music directly from
an iPod, iPhone, or iPad. When you are a wedding DJ, situations arise that you
need to play music from a CD the wedding party requests or perhaps the song is
on their iPhone that they request and you do not have it in your library. I DJ
with a laptop loading music from an external drive for backup purposes. This allows
me to plug the external drive directly into one of the USB ports in case the laptop
crashes. The controller allows me to mix both channels from a single USB. I
would highly recommend the Numark Mixdeck Quad for any mobile DJ, especially if
you are a wedding DJ. You never know that the night might bring, but with the
Numark Mixdeck Quad, you will be ready.
