I like to blog about two of the artists I featured in my playlist. This week, I would like to blog about Autumn Hill and Madeline Merlo.
Autumn Hill
Autumn Hill is a Canadian country duo. The members of the group are Mike Robins and Tereya Green. They have just released their first album entitled “Favourite Mistake”. It was released on September 10, 2013. So far, the duo has released 4 singles off the album: Anything At All, Can’t Keep Waiting, Fire, and If She Wants This Town. All of the singles have done fairly well in Canada, but I think that the US charts should take notice. The group is extremely talented and songs are great. I played Fire during my show and I have heard nothing but great comments regarding the song. I will be playing another song of theirs on my upcoming show on March 30, 2014. Madeline Merlo
Madeline Merlo is also a new artist out of Canada. She is also a new country artist. Her new song is “Sinking Like A Stone”. She was signed last February to RGK Management and Open Road Recordings. The new single was released to iTunes on February 18, 2014. Her song is in rotation on Canadian country stations, but I thin the US Country stations need to start putting this song into rotation. Her website is http://www.madelinemerlo.com. You can see her video and read more about this amazing young artist. I will make sure that I put her songs into rotation on my show. Unfortunately, my show is only every two weeks on Sunday nights, so hopefully through additional support, we can push the country stations to put her songs into rotation.
